The storms must have come through yesterday. I know because of the "driving" rain for my whole 5-hour trip home. It was soupy and hot yesterday in NY—nice to come back to the AC in NJ—it's pretty soupy here too.

I decided to leave when I found out that everything happening to the house from now through Monday or Tuesday, will take place down in the basement, where I can't see anything. I could, if I was a real photographer, but I would have to walk the plank, balance on the scaffolding, and/or go down the ladder. I think I will wait until the floor gets started and the "moat" backfilled before I venture inside for my next photo shoot.

And we're going to take one too. Heading home today before the big storms come.

I talked to Jim the builder just now, and he says nothing very interesting will happen until Monday, so I am headed back and will return early next week. By Monday the basement floor insulation, radiant floor heat, and concrete floor should be finished. Once that's all done, they can start the floor deck and framing.
